Type A is an independent entertainment marketing company that specializes in Broadway and National Touring productions. Marketing Direction services include strategic partnerships, inventory management, group sales management, media and non-media trade, grassroots campaigns and oversight of advertising and publicity campaigns.
Current Broadway and New York shows include The Addams Family, Evita, Follies, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Lysistrata Jones, Million Dollar Quartet, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Phantom of the Opera and Relatively Speaking. Past Broadway shows include All My Sons, American Idiot, A Behanding in Spokane, Baby It’s You, Born Yesterday, A Catered Affair, A Chorus Line, Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy, Finian’s Rainbow,Guys and Dolls, La Bête, Lend Me a Tenor, The Miracle Worker, Promises, Promises, Thurgood, A View from the Bridge and 9 to 5. Past Off-Broadway shows include Rock of Ages and Sleepwalk with Me.
Current or future national tours include The Addams Family, American Idiot, Anything Goes, The Book of Mormon and Million Dollar Quartet. Past national shows include Ain't Misbehavin', Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, A Chorus Line, Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy, Curvy Widow, Dreamgirls, Go, Diego, Go Live!, Little House on the Prairie the Musical, Mother Load, My Fair Lady, The Phantom of the Opera, Xanadu and The 101 Dalmatians Musical.
Industry Leadership
Type A Marketing was a sponsor of the 2008 Spring Commercial Theatre Institute (CTI) conference and Anne Rippey has served on several marketing panels at CTI. On behalf of Type A, Anne was also a participant in the inaugural CTI-O'Neill Summer Workshop. Her numerous speaking engagements include a recent panel on Theater Publicity: Guerilla Tactics at the Center for Communication. Anne was the recipient of the 2005 League Award for Outstanding Achievement in Road Marketing.
Anne Rippey is a long-standing member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers (ATPAM) and currently sits on the Apprentice Committee.
